Patients at Homolka are the most satisfied

Na Homolce Hospital was ranked 1st in the first year of the National Patient Satisfaction Assessment project, announced by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in October 2021. 13 Czech and Moravian hospitals, mostly directly managed, which have inpatient wards, participated in the project.

The evaluation took the form of a detailed questionnaire survey involving several hundred patients. People evaluated healthcare facilities in eight categories.

  •     Patient admission to the facility
  •     Respect, consideration, respect for the patient
  •     Coordination and integration of patient care
  •     Information and communication with the patient
  •     Physical comfort of the patient
  •     Emotional support of the patient
  •     Involvement of family and loved ones in the patient's treatment
  •     Discharge of the patient from the facility

"We are very pleased with the outcome of the project. At the same time it is a big commitment for us. Patient satisfaction is our priority and we are still working to not only provide good treatment, but to ensure that patients find a friendly environment and helpful staff who provide all the necessary information and help them overcome often the most difficult moments," commented the director of the Hospital Na Homolce, Petr Polouček, M.D., MBA.

The National Patient Satisfaction Assessment project is the result of a long-term activity of the Ministry of Health, the main objective of which is to establish a uniform system of monitoring and evaluation of patient satisfaction in the Czech Republic and to strengthen the voice of the patient in the system of providing inpatient health care.
