Heart Failure Centre receives prestigious European accreditation

We are delighted that our Heart Failure Centre has received prestigious accreditation from the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

For Hospital Na Homolce, the accreditation means valuable feedback that our centre provides high quality care to patients with heart disease. It is also a great opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and exchange of experience between European centres and to further improve the quality of medical care.

Heart failure is not a stoppage of the heart, but its reduced performance due to diseases of the cardiovascular system, such as high blood pressure, a heart attack or coronary artery disease. It mainly affects older people over 65 years of age.

The accreditation was received at the Heart Failure 2025 congress in Belgrade by Prof. Filip Málek, Deputy Head of Medical Care at the Cardiology Department of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University and Na Homolce Hospital.
