We are reopening the swimming pool and relaxation centre
oday, the Na Homolce Hospital re-opened the swimming pool, which is part of the R-centrum Homolka relaxation centre. The centre will serve the public as well as medical staff and patients from Homolka and the nearby Motol University Hospital.
The pool was closed for a few weeks because the contract with the previous tenant and operator expired at the end of last year. Despite all efforts to select a new operator on the basis of a public tender, no one applied for the tender. "Due to the great interest in the swimming pool and the services of the relaxation centre, especially from the citizens of Prague 5, we finally decided to operate the Homolka R-centre ourselves," announced the hospital's director, MUDr. Petr Polouček, MBA. "In two months, we have carried out the necessary remediation work, processed all the permits for the operation of the pool, obtained approvals from the authorities concerned and provided staff. I am happy that from today the R-centrum Homolka can serve its purpose again," adds Petr Polouček.
The Homolka R-centre includes a 25-metre swimming pool and saunas. The pool with a gradual entry into the water is popular mainly for its excellent water quality. The centre has recently undergone several operational changes, especially in the area of facilities. The pool is connected to a spacious winter garden, which will gradually be used for yoga classes or for pleasant sitting and relaxation. The pool will be used for aqua aerobics classes with a maximum capacity of 30 people.
The centre will be open daily, from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm on weekdays and from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm on weekends.
