The Foundation’s plans for the future
This involves supporting state-of-the-art specialized medicine, particularly within the scope of Na Homolce Hospital’s main clinical programs. The aim is to create one of the top specialist hospitals in Europe, providing nationwide coverage and a complex range of diagnostic and therapeutic methods for cardiovascular diseases and the clinical neurosciences. To this end, the hospital has also applied its potential to the areas of research, international cooperation, and others.
- Patients, who are admitted to Na Homolce from throughout the Czech Republic and abroad, receive top-quality specialized care, focusing on the professionally and financially demanding treatment of diseases of the heart and blood vessels, or diseases of and injuries to the brain, spinal cord and vertebral column.
- However, top quality health care requires major investment, not only into renewing the existing equipment park, but, more importantly, into introducing cutting-edge technological procedures that reflect the latest medical developments, as can be found in similarly specialized health care facilities in Europe and elsewhere.
- The Homolka Foundation is one of the sources of funding for the development of the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- • Technologies financed by the fund are used by Na Homolce Hospital departments for patients from individual Czech regions and, by ensuring maximum efficiency of use, these provide instruments and equipment-related services to a maximum number of patients.
