The Department of Clinical Oncology is the youngest section of Na Homolce to date - it was opened on April 1st, 2004. 

It is a specialized outpatient unit providing comprehensive oncological care for adult patients, with the exception of radiotherapy, and diagnostics of what are known as solid tumors.
Besides the Clinical Oncology surgery, the unit also has a room where patients can undergo cytostatic treatment, with background music if they so wish.  An essential part of the department's work involves preparing cytostatic drugs in compliance with the European Union's strict hygiene standards.
The department has entered into a common research project investigating the molecular genetic aspects of treatment, which are used for what is referred to as "tailoring treatment".
